Experience breathtaking vertical adventures
along the coast of Norway.

Points North Charters offer boat based adventure charters around Ålesund and along the coast of Norway, specialising in fjord skiing, wreck diving and wildlife cruises.  Our luxuriously converted ex-norwegian rescue vessel, the Elizabeth G, will provide you with a very high level of comfort and restaurant standard food.  Her smaller size affords you a high degree of flexibility and intimate access to the coastline and the surrounding islands, an experience that is completed different to that of a larger cruise liner.

Our Guides

All our ski mountaineering trips include a fully qualified UIAGM guide.  We work closely with Norwegian Alpine Guides, Norgesguidene, who all have excellent local knowledge of the terrain and snow conditions and most importantly know where to find the powder.  The crew of the Elizabeth G will work together with the guides to ensure you get the best possible trip and in the safest hands.

Safety first

Trips with Points North Charters are, for the most part, short expeditions in serious mountain and sea environments – this is what makes us so unique. As such your safety is our priority. Whether you are joining us for a ski mountaineering trip or a summer alpine hike, a qualified guide will always be present to ensure your safety.

The Ski Routes

Typically our trips will start from Alesund (transfer from Alesund airport is included in our prices) and will incorporate the spectatular Sunnmore Alps. This area has been shaped by shifting glaciers carving out fjords and valleys over the centuries, leaving a spectacular area of peaks and summits.
